CCCM - Penang Day 3 : Dinner

We waited for Shaun to complete his classes. We went across to the island at about 5:00pm. We headed for Gurney Plaza for Wah to do some shopping. She still had not got something for Ana. Finally she found something that she liked for Ana. A set of towels. After maghrib at the surau there, we walked out towards Gurney Drive for dinner. Actually, there was not much choice as there were very few stalls for Muslims. Three quarters of the stretch catered for non-muslims. Anyway, we wanted some Penang fare thus, we sat down and ordered pasembor, nasi lemak kukus, char kuey teow and of course coconut drink. It was enough for us ....
Pasembor
The pasembor sauce was not poured over the pasembor as it could be too spicy for Kak Haj
I loved this - the coconut drink - it was perfect and cool

Char kuey teow
Nasi lemak kukus with fried chicken
Simple, usual Penang fare but satisfying and fulfilling. After that, we drove to Tesco Seberang Jaya to buy some jeruk for the others in Ipoh and Melaka. I bought some vanilla chocolate chips at one of the kiosks there. I tested it and it was crunchy, not very sweet and with almond nuts. We reached Shaun's house tired but satisfied. We started to pack as we would be leaving the next morning for our next destination - Ipoh  :-)
