Shaun had gone for classes. The three of us had planned to go for brunch at 11:00am. So, we had breakfast of bread - wholemeal, of course ..
:=D We rested, watched TV, talked about nothing and everything while I updated my facebook for my sons and my blog. About 11:00am, we went down the four flights of floor and went to "the kubur". This stall had a variety of dishes that boggled your mind. Wah still wanted kampung fare as she said one could not get authentic version of it in KL. Neither one with this stall which had so many types of dishes that one was spoilt for choice. We came here before so our expectations were met. I loved the choices offerred for vegetables. The price was very reasonable. Our lunch was :-
|
Mine was a choice of mix vegetables, bayam, kerabu perut and kerabu kacang boto |
|
Wah had kerabu taugeh, kerabu perut, gulai ikan, sambal tempe |
|
Add-on dishes - siakap bakar and air asam |
|
Add-on dishes - jantung rebus, bendi rebus with sambal belacan |
|
Kak Haj added the telur ikan ... |
Shaun joined us later for lunch. He managed to get time out of his lectures to spend some time with us. He took some rice with a choice of 4 types of vegetables. Added on with drinks and some fruits, the cost of lunch was only RM29/=. It was a very satisfying, simple lunch. Later, Shaun went back to Uitm and we went shopping at Jusco nearby. We bought toys for Hadi, something for Izwan and could not find something nice for Ana. Then, we went to Big Apple doughnuts for cofee and what else ... doughnuts.
:-D Well ... it is suppose to be "cuti-cuti cari makan" .
.ha..ha..ha..
I had cappucino while Wah had the doughnut laden with chocolate topping. We had put aside the health check-up report for a while ...
;=}
As we were walking towards the car park, Kak Haj felt nauseous and queasy. She had not been well since the fasting month. She could not eat and lost weight. She was down to only 41kg. She had been steadily getting better. She vomitted and we took her home. She was just trying to eat again. That was why she pushed for this holiday and I totally supported her so that we had some time together. Sisters who are friends will be more patient and tolerant with each other. Besides looking out for each other. Me and my ailments, she and her health problems and Wah with hers. InsyAllah. He will give us this time out together. Tonight Shaun had decided to take us to Penang island for dinner. So, tonight, we cross over to the island for our next venture on food ....
