Our Annual Gallivanting ... Cuti-Cuti Cari Makan 2013

Wah and Kak Haj had decided to make this Cuti-Cuti Cari Makan an annual affair. So, I agreed to become their driver for the week. They had discussed (without me !!! assuming and presuming I would agree. :-0}) about going to East Coast. Since it was badly affected by the floods, it was cancelled. So, without plan B, we decided to plan everyday as it came. No itinerary, no plans, no specific places to go ... As Wah put it - it's going to be a holiday of sleep, food and where to go. Thus, I was relegated to the willing driver...

It started early morning today, 8th December, with me picking up Kak Haj at Juru R&R in Penang. She was in Kulim visiting Shaun, who's lecturing at UniKL. I started at 7:00am and reached Juru R&R by 8:00am as expected. Shaun and Kak Haj were having breakfast of roti canai and kari kerang. What a pity my phone's memory card had been infected by virus and damaged all the photos of our food taken today. We started for Kelana Jaya at 9:00am with another pit stop at Ulu Bernam R&R. This time we shared wantan mee and drinks. We finally reached Kelana Jaya and picked up Wah for lunch.

Then, we dropped by Ain's house to visit our "granddaughters". After playing with them for a while (aged 9 months and 3 years old). We went back to take a nap. After maghrib prayers we picked up Aina (the older granddaughter) and went for dinner at The Heritage at Paradigm shopping mall. It's a Nyonya restaurant. I had mee curry Nyonya. Not bad. Wah had Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah shared with Aina and Kak Haj had Hor Mee. Later we took Aina shopping for balloons as she was a good girl during dinner.

A pity about the photos. I only managed to save 2 photos of our breakfast and pit stop along at Ulu Bernam. The worst loss were the photos with Aina ...

The roti canai with kari kerang and perut. The kari kerang is nice ...
