CCCM - Day 2

We started the day with a walk to SS5 for breakfast at Jaya restaurant. We had laksa Johor, laksam and nasi himpit. We walked slowly back taking a different route to SS4B. Of course the two ladies walked ahead of me. I trudged along according to my own pace. My legs carried me as fast as they could.

Zin came about 10am. We took him along on our food trail for lunch. Wah took us to Sambal Hijau restaurant at Sungai Penchala. You should see the array of dishes offered !!! :-0 !!!! We were spoilt for choice. Finally we settled for something simple, as usual. Zin was so excited with so much choice.

The variet of grilled fishes available...
The section specially for grilling the fish
After that ZIn took us to Klang and we had lai chi kang of collagen+mata kuching drink. Cool and refreshing on a blazing hot day. The place is well-known for its simple rice with freshly fried chicken and fish with fish curry. That's it. But the queue and crowd during the lunch hour testified the popularity of this simple, unassuming place. We parked the car near Masjid Bandar, a beautiful majestic mosque and walked across the 2 level bridge. The view across the river was captivating....

Walking across the bridge towards the food stall - above us is another bridge and next to it is the railway track
The roof tops are the food stalls

The name of Zin's favourite eatery where he has made many friends including the mamak
After that we went to send Zin home. It is his home and workshop to make miniature and model houses. Then, we went back towards Kelana Jaya and had tea under the tree near SK Kelana Jaya. A van sold kueh and nasi lemak plus drinks under the tree. These two ladies really satisfy their food trail ... me??? I think I am suffering ... :-}} After the simple tea they wanted to buy goreng pisang, keledek and keladi along the road side near Giant supermarket. I obliged all their requests.... After siesta at Wah's place, we decided on a light dinner of tosai, naan and chicken tandoori. Done for the day today. Tomorrow is another day. No plans. Whatever catches their fancy ...

Bubur pulut hitam and ondeh-ondeh
Teh tarik, kueh kosui and sekaya bakar - we shared everything. A little of each
